Challenge

The brand sold into Mexico from a global .com storefront with thin Spanish category copy, inconsistent NAP for showrooms, and almost no relevant Spanish referring domains. Rankings on google.com.mx lagged marketplace giants despite solid US performance on google.com.

Strategy

We rebuilt es-MX category briefs, aligned hreflang, prioritized CDMX and Monterrey landing support, and ran a six-month editorial plus digital PR program focused on home and lifestyle publishers. Outreach emphasized original pricing and materials data rather than generic guest posts.

Links built

48 placements across lifestyle editorial, niche design blogs, and two data-driven PR stories. Mix of in-content dofollow and disclosed sponsored attributes. Zero PBN inventory.

Challenge

The retailer already understood product-market fit. What it lacked was Spanish-language authority that matched how Mexican shoppers research materials, shipping expectations, and design inspiration. Marketplace giants dominated many google.com.mx queries. The brand’s pages were indexed yet rarely chosen.

Prior vendors had delivered English-centric guest posts and a handful of irrelevant directories. Those links did not move category pages. Internal teams were understandably skeptical of another outreach pitch.

Strategy

Our desk partnered with the in-house SEO lead to select twenty category and comparison URLs. We fixed locale targeting, improved on-page Mexican Spanish, and only then opened outreach. Publisher tiers included design magazines, sustainable living sites, and home renovation blogs with real audiences.

Digital PR centered on an exclusive materials and pricing dataset cut for Mexican cities. Journalists received chart packs and a bilingual spokesperson window. Steady guest content filled topical gaps between PR spikes.

Forty-eight live placements shipped over six months with documented QA: language review, attribute logging, and screenshot archival. Inserts were limited to highly relevant evergreen guides. Sitewide footer offers were rejected.

Results

Directional outcomes improved month over month in organic sessions from Mexico and in non-brand visibility for priority categories. Exact percentages remain marked TODO until the client clears public disclosure. The SVG chart on this page uses placeholder cumulative placement counts for illustration only.
